Ok here is the deal: Wavescape.co.za in conjunction with First national bank is hosting a surf film festival.

Now you dudes at Probe and 13th Movement -- this is the perfect opportunity to showcase our sport (after much nagging spike said he would be open minded towards bodyboarding movies) so please Submit your movies --- There are gonna be many big ass corperates going to this thing and i am gonna do my best to promote the sport and try and see if i can secure possible sponsoreships for next year. But i am mearly a photog and this is a film festival......also to all other aspiring film makers (schmo and morne) this is your opportunity to put together a small show piece of your work.

I've mailed the Probe and 13Movement guys to make sure they know about the event.

Probe and 13th movement... sign up, its national exposure to god knows who... and to everyone else that falls in the catchment area, go support it, buy tickets, watch the movies, enjoy the show.
Crystal Voyager is one of the trippyest surf movies ever made... well it was made on LSD...california sunshine. Its actually a movie about the origins of kneeboarding in the late 60's the whole soundtrack is early pink floyd, and most of the footage is nothing more than open tubes rolling on by, the dude films inside the tube (riding the kneeboard cos the housing is so heavy) straps himself onto the reef and films the tubes rolling over and the the normal angles. Its well well worth the watch.
SUPPORT YOUR SPORT!!!!! if probe and 13 movemnt do submit i wanna see some SERIOUS doormat support there...even bigger than the Southern most hope and Logic launches.... much respect.

Ok Spike has given the bodyboarders these dates so i want you all to be there to represent, and show the surfers that we are here, we are not going away, we arnt all children but adults.
Keep it real, play it kool and dont get into fights (MacD!!!!) Lets show the surfers what we are all about.

I got two bodyboarding films to be screened here:

Southern Most Hope
Rootsy South African film shot in Cape Town. This is believed to be the first bodyboarding film made in South Africa. Showing, Labia, Wed 15 Dec (8.30pm)

Verde Roca
A bodyboarding and surfing film that shows Chile to have some of the heaviest and most perfect waves. It also suggests that Chileans have suicidal tendencies. Set to a classic soundtrack, from roots to house, from heavy metal to grungy gangsta rap (some not for the fainthearted or U16s). Some footage is breathtaking in its extremity.
