Morey = Genkem

    After reading the post named 'Board Problems' I thought something needed to be said about the Morey I bought myself not so long ago.

    I had ridden my Morey about 3 times when I noticed that the tail was delaiminating. I took it back to the shop and, after waiting 4 weeks for it to go from George to Durban and back, the rep said that it was caused from the press stud on my baggies! How does your baggies cause your board to delaminate from underneath? Anyway, that glue job that the agents did lasted about another 3 or 4 surfs before it broke again! I did not want to sit without a board for another 4 weeks so I glued it with Genkem and that seemed to hold it. Then yesterday, only about 30 surfs later, I noticed that the rails are also starting to delaiminate! The rails are only stuck down on the edges and are completely not glued on the inside! Now my 'relatively new' Morey weighs about 10kg's because it is full of water and the rails are falling off.

    I have been bodyboarding for about 13 years and expected a bit more from Morey. Is this the quality that Morey produces nowdays? If it is, perhaps they should be selling their product in grocery stores at a few hundred rand a pop!

    yeah, i hav heard some stuff about morey, from a grapevine, they're boards are machine made, if u want to buy morey, rather buy a mez shape from theirs, they are really good, they are customly made.

    my one friend in namibia had a morey pro comp 42, he did an ARS and landed a bit wrong while landing backwards, got nailed by the wave and popped up holding his rail in his hand. wot a bitch that was. all the nam crew boys ride rossi's and not one of us has complained about them. we support the local companies. reckon u ppl should start too.
