Awesome Swells Today

Gale force South West winds today...
Here in East London, Surfed Nahoon today, about a 4 foot swell, with about 7,8 foot face, Some huge sets, Alot of paddling and duckdiving to get through the bigger close outs. So crowded though, Surfers kept dropping in on us. Quite alot of photographers showed up too.

Who else had a good session today?

Yeah man, took on the biggest swell I've been on at the Bay this year. So stoked coz I've been wanting a solid swell for awhile, got maxing 8ft beasts today. Some guys rated the biggest of the day at almost 10ft but I think that's pushing it a bit. Was working tho so only surfed for 30 mins...And with a 10-15 min paddle I didn't get much. Was fun tho.

Oh and this all happened on Boxing day...Which made life guarding a notch crap with a crowd of about 7000...dam.

I did get bumped today on the leg by something.

Unsure if it was a shark though.

out of town spots were way better. no crowds (at most 4 guys out) and easier paddle. point breaks and beachies, all were good. i cant mention names though, sorry.
