Whew! That guy is mental--must have balls of steel! Exhilarating to watch! Amped to see more. Shame he isn't representing in the IBA tour.
I wonder if he is still a big charger and competes?

Thanks oodles for being so on top of things and providing us with such amazing coverage! Stoked on this site dude and all you do in bringing the sport alive SA style--so refreshing. You have an incredible suppot team of help as well.

Small story, hey! Earlier this year, we took Billy on a short jaunt down to San Antonio(about 4-5 hrs. away), Texas, to see the sites. Walking the downtown, not too far from the river walk, we came upon a South African specialty shop that was filled with SA crafted items. Having never seen anything like it, we were excited to step inside. Also checking out the store was a famous, children's book author, whom had recently returned from South Africa. Excitedly, I engaged in some conversation with her. Neither of us could put our finger on it, however, we were both ecstatically aware of the amazing influence, drive, respect, energy and talent that many South Africans, whom we had witnessed, exhibited. It was an exciting, shared moment and I'm telling you, the young people--yourself included and young at heart, really have it together and are very impressive to many of those curiously taking note, in the world. Keep up the amazing work and the incredible job! Like I said once before, you can and are, making a difference!

OK, my eldest daughter, having read my last post, mentioned I need to monitor what I say more closely as it is not characteristic of being very lady-like. I apologize for my last "steel" remark and hope no-one found it offensive. Having lost most of my inhibitions in the last 6 mos.(a characteristic often exhibited, following a brain injury/coma), I am learning and guess I should monitor this and pay attension to detail, more closely. Not to get so excitedly, carried away, with my thoughts at the moment. No excuses; What I meant was Jose Ottavio exhibits exhilarating maneuver's and NO FEAR to go big and all out.

HAHAH, Thanks J, for your kind words of support in allowing me to cut loose once in a while, amidst my questionable, seemingly endless, journey of therapeutic progrssion. This is one of my first love's and keeps me sane with something to look forward to. Coming from an accomplished boarder, as yourself, with 15 years of bodyboarding behind you, means alot. Much respect! No worries, I honestly, really appreciate my daughter's, friend's, thrapist's and family watching out for me and caring enough to clue me in on my action's as I recover. I know they mean well and In retrospect, my daughter's response was rather typical of her Type-A-personality--first born child, attempting to cover all the bases responsibly. I guess I must rationalize, that although my statement might have been cool coming from a young person, amidst a group of guys, it may not be appropriate to some, on a public forum, coming from an appearingly, mature, mother of 3 daughters--although I am young at heart--must keep that in mind. Yep, lacking any inhibitions, I guess I am having difficulties establishing my boundaries, hey. Although over the years I have spent the vast majority of my time hanging out with the young people, supportive of them. I have not developed strong friendships with many other's my own age, due to being so over the critical, similar drama--hahah--
SHEESH! Secondly, I need to work on shortening these long, wordy entries!
KEEP GOIN BIG AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!
