So....What's up?
A fundamental ambition of WPSurf is to put surfing images where surfers will find them.
It's also an important part of our philosophy at WPSurf to be inclusive of existing local surf businesses where we can. We would like to enhance what is already there and offer a benefit where we are made welcome. Check out the following two websites for surf shops in Capetown and Port Elizabeth who have already chosen to work with us on this. Thanks to them both for leading this.
What is this?
Local photographers who register and upload to WPSurf now have the option of having their shots appear on the website of one of these local surfing busineses
as well as WPSurf, automatically, -
all from the one upload. We look after the detail but surfers are more likely to find and enjoy their pictures at a local level. This new feature,
a World First and Unique to WPSurf, is now available as an extra benefit to photographers and surfers. We hope that others will join the Surf Centre and the Atlantic Surf Co, pioneers in this project in SA, so we can get it active and working in as wide an area as soon as possible.
If any photographer or surfer has a different local surf shop, board manufacturer or surf school that they prefer to associate with, get that business to register FREE as an affiliate and we'll set it up for them too. So, please do let your surfshops, surf board manufacturers, surf schools and photographers worldwide know about this unique and powerful feature of WPSurf so we can get it working, especially there in South Africa. A photographer can associate with one local surfing business so the images that appear on that shops site will be unique. It's all free choice and the relationships can be set up and broken by either party. Importantly, surfers, surf businesses and photographers should know that all images are screened by WPSurf before going live to ensure high quality.
Other Recent Enhancements to WPSurf as a result of feedback
1. We've just improved our search to allow surfers to find and enjoy images much quicker than before
2. We've added new search functions to the home page to allow surfers to specify the type of surf shots e.g bodyboarding , that they want to see.
3. Surfers can register and get a weekly update when images are added to their favourite breaks.
4. A free download of 'Parko getting air at Snapper Rocks' is available to sample our image quality.
5. For a while we are running free adverts at local map levels worldwide for your local businesses. Again, please let your contacts know and have them register free as advertisers. We'll look after the rest for them[/list:u]
