Board damage

Hi guys, I recently surfed Stilbaai point with my brand new LMNOP and a new leash. I have no idea how it happened but the leash snapped on a smallish wave on the inside section as I was pulling in. The board washed up onto the rocks as I was praying that it didn't get hurt to bad. To my dissapointment it got a bad gash from the famous Stilbaai rocks on the deck. The bottom didn't get hurt to bad.

What should be used to fill this gash. Some guys advised me to use Blob but I can't find it anywhere.

Will the board still be able to perform at optimal level? I'm so dissapointed as this is my first good board and it gets damaged on one of my first sessions.

yes dude, blob is the way to go... i used it to seal the hole for the leash plug and works like a bomb...its cost a bit, but its better than a water logged board. Where do u stay?

yeah blob is good, used it when my leash swifel(spelling??) tore a chunk out of my deck. Sealled it perfectly....but then I snapped the board like a week later :(

Anyhow just make sure the gash is super clean and dry.

    Gudluck!
