Hi guys and girls...
Just to update you as to what is happening with regards to the contest.
Up until recently( the Bay View Big Wave Comp,) there were no submissions into the Contest!
We have now recieved submission from one photographer-Marcel Habets.
I'am currently compiling a news article to go with his shots and hopefully will be getting commentry from the event organisers.
The current delay with regards to the publishing of the photo's is down to powers beyond my control and which hold a vested interest for the Reef/Science Contest.
As of yet i haven't personally been approached by the organisers of the Bay View Comp to do any press coverage...i do however feel obliged to cover the story and will do so once i have recieved the above mentioned comments from the event organisers.
Please understand that all the press coverage i do for bodyboarding doesn't pay my bills, i still need to work a full-time job that involves shift work-hence my reason for being at home...i only start work at 14:30 today. So press coverage is done in my "free" time and that has it's limits.
Please also understand that only photo's submitted to
[email protected] are entered into the Reef/Science Biggest Wave Contest....photo's submitted at random onto sixty40 will not be considered! This is quite clearly stated in the initial press release i did.
