Pebble Beach near Lans...or Long Beach-Krans(straight off-shore when SW)...was also there yesterday and it was too small...Pebbles had a sick wave before the wind picked up.

If its propper SW then kalk bay can be contour or cross offshore... the problem is that yesterday was SSSW so it was a bit lumpy. I paddled out at 2 and rode it till sunset. At about 4 everyone except for 4 guys cleared out and there where many sick sick sick bombs to be had... I know it looked pooo from the beach, but that's the thing there, you just gotta paddle out and see what happens. I had a really good surf and it got pretty bigish towards sunset. Remember, if it looks perfect you will find it very hard to get good waves out there because there would be 50 guys out. As far as other options go, the swell was super S (SSW) yesterday so options for offshore places WITH swell hitting where ver limited. If the swell had had some east in it, the entire sea point area, as well as long beach area (from boneyards to wireless road) would have had waves and been offshore. Hope this helps!

I to drove around all day... Eventually I went back to melkboss and out of no where the big swell arrived... It was good fun when the sets came in otherwise it was a waste of time to try and take a smaller wave, it was just a mess...

The big sets for some odd reason, was clean and for the best part of the ride hollow to.

and best of all there was like 10 people in the water..

so it is always worth having a look at melkboss.. never know what u may find

    HA!!! What are the odds...

I don't know you Peter, but yesterday as me and my girlfriend's brother were standing at Kalk Bay watching the waves at about 16h30 I saw some bodyboarders out with 2-3 standups.

So some booger gets a wave and gets a really good tube spittnig and all. I wonder if it was you mate?

There was bodyboarder out there with no fins on...looked kinda sketchy since you'd think you really nead to get on the wave quick at Kalk Bay to make the tube...well this guy seemed to be on it a bit late every time and got pwned a few times...

Peter were you there when I was watching?

I wish I knew it was you in the water because then I could have shouted "THANKS FOR KEEPING THE SCENE ALIVE!!!!" But now I'm just typing it...lame. :(

    Ad thanks for the advice...

Spy, sorry mate, but I am sure I replied "big and lumpy" to your what's it like sms, and big and lumpy (and flipin fun it was) if that made you turn arround then I am truly sorry.

Nico, shot bru you are way to kind... If you saw some guy get lipped on the head so hard that he did somersaults, that was me. If you saw a guy getting spit out barrels, it was probably crowie or one of the other chargers! Ya i did see the guy with one flipper - he was craaayzee! haha ya but I was out there Sunday from 2 and Monday from 5:15... and guess where I am dawn patroling in 3 hours?

Guess that's what happens when you're permanently wired on sea water. It's hard to close your eyes when the salt has crusted them open!
