Update from Oz

5th April 2010

Just a quick update on where I am and what I'm doing!

Since being back in Australia I have been a pretty busy boy, I have signed a 3 year deal with Turbo Bodyboards which will see me on the world tour and a number of trips over the next few years. I am super excited about this and I would like to give a massive thanks to Gregg Taylor for getting behind me.

Tying in with the signing I was featured on the home page of every major magazines website across the world. Movement, Le Boogie, Riptide and VertMag all interviewed me aswell, and Sixty40 put up the press release!

Here are the links for your interest.

I'm eagerly awaiting Movement 32 to drop as I have recieved word I get a good run in that too, more on that as soon as it comes out.

These past few weeks I have been chasing swells up and down the east coast and been to Bali! Turbo sent Jacob Romero, Jones Russel, Glen Sullivan and myself off to Bali with Photographer Ray Collins to secure some advertisment and hopefully a mag feature! The waves were pretty sick,we surfed Canngu most days(wedgy left and right beach break) and even lucked into a sick sunlit session at Keramas on the east side of the island! We finished off the 4 day trip with a few bintangs bali style before flying back to Oz! What an amazing experience, this was my first funded trip and I'll never forget it!

Been spending the last few days in Sydney getting myself together before heading up to QLD for the first event of the Australian tour. I have been recieving a fair amount of press coverage as one of the internationals attending(some others include Jacob Romero, Jeff Hubb, Pierre, Amauray and Mike Stewart).

From QLD I will head back down to Soldiers for the second event of the IBA world tour 2010.I am heading into this event in 3rd position on the IBA tour and am hoping for another big result to ensure I head into South America with a good seed. The world tour is going to be my main focus for this year and I am confident I can crack the top 16 through alot of hard work.

After Soldiers I have a 10 day break, before heading off to South America for the next leg of the world tour. First stop is Brazil, then Chile and finally Peru! I'm looking so forward to this, getting some really good Turbo Boards made up and im confident that I can nail some good results!

I miss home everyday, my family friends and the waves! But I'm so blessed to do what I do and im going to run with it for aslong as I can! I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support via my Facebook, Sixty40 or blog! I really appreciate it and dont stop!

P.S. My Ozzie visa runs out soon,so you might just see me out in the water sooner tha you expect! But im not saying anything more about that! HAHA.
