Ok man let me say ive had both of these.
For me makapu is much better. Has the same power of viper but much more comfortable.
If you have thin long feet get the vipers.
I have fat feet so makapus work for me. I had vipers for six months and then just gave up because they where amputating my feet,
Makapus are soft and the blade is hard

no ways... i also have rather wide feet so i just bought a size larger... vipers are the way forward... i have yellow dots though and i rekon that in warmer water they are the best there is... they havnt cut up my feet too bad either

ive had makapus and yellow dot vipers. both are awsome. churchills more comfy, vipers more propulsion and they dont hurt my feet. so vipers all the way for me!! cant go wrong with churhill thoough.

This debate could go on and on and on and on! Everyone's feet are different shapes and so are the fins. Also something to take into consideration is your own fitness levels and joint mobility, low levels of either often result in cramp and are not caused entirely by the fins. My advice is not to suggest a brand, but to try a few different styles/brands from your mates or local surfstore before you buy, you'll save yourself the embarrassment of shelling out up to R800 and not being happy with the product. Viper cut me open and gives me cramps the first 5min im in the water.
