Dave Winchester got into a good rhythm on the last day, and made it all the way to the final. As the swell grew so did fatigue and for both Dave and Tamega the Final was a hard slog with solid 10 ft + sets coming in.
Tamega's "animal instinct" sealed the win and Dave finished Runner up after last year winning the event.
Dave ended up in second which is "still pretty good", "I was struggling with two 17th coming up to this event and now i am in the top 10, and now hopefuly i can keep getting better results throughout the year".
