The tour has begun. With the arrival of Brandon Foster and David Hubbard on the sunny shores of South Africa the official Road Warriors Tour 2006 has been started.
David ‘dub’ Hubbard and Brandon ‘ODB’ Foster arrived in Durban, South Africa to some small waves so they hit the notorious Durban Wave House to get their tour started. Then they hit up some wild animal and shark parks to take in some of what South Africa has to offer in the animals that can kill you department. They boys then hit a South Africa vs Scotland Rugby game live at the ABSA Stadium. They therefore caught up on all the South African Culture needed.
After their wild stint in Durban they flew down to the Mother City of Cape Town. Met at the airport by ripper Ian Kruger they were right into the action with a Development clinic for the underprivileged. All the kids were so amped to get into the water and learn how to bodyboard. After a great day at the beach with the kids and making some of their dreams come true, the crew, including top South African bodyboarder Sacha Specker, headed to surf shop Sport n Surf in Cape Town’s city centre. There they held a promo, giving out some goodies to the kids and getting to meet some local bodyboarders. After making some new friends they premiered the new Timmy Hamilton video Boogie Nation. All and all it was a great kick off to the 2006 Road Warriors Tour. Stay tuned for more updated of some sick surfing by top international and national riders from around Cape Town.
Our next stop will be a premiere and signing at the 2006 Boland Big Wave Shootout Contest briefing.
