Well, what a week. Again Plettenberg Bay was invaded with 200 competing bodyboarders for the biggest bodyboard event on the South African circuit.
The event is run over 5 days with riders competing in all age groups, including a division for the pro’s. Due to being one of the best events of the year the organisers and sponsors go all out. It is not just the bodyboarding the guys come for - the event has video premiers, promos, night action soccer, huge parties, hundreds of holidaymakers of both sexes… Even if you go down in the first round, you will be entertained all week. Well, the Road Warriors rented a pimp house and went all out in all the activities the week threw at us. In the end, after a huge prize giving and after party, the Road Warriors crew members Craig Maree walked away with fourth in DropKnee, Ian Kruger came third in the Expression Session, Ian Metcalf won the expression session and Marc Jucker walked away with the win in the main event the Pro division. Well, as the boys now go on their way from Plettenberg Bay the Road Warriors head up to beautiful city of Port Elizabeth.
