Well the Road Warriors Tour up the coast of South Africa has begun and the boys have gotten right into it. The tour was kicked off with a small promo at Surf Zone Surf Shop in Cape Town with some local kids coming round to meet the guys on the tour and get some advice on making it in the world of bodyboarding.

Next off the crew set off to meet up two hours up the coast in the sleepy town of Hermanus. The town of Hermanus is famous for its whale watching, shark cage diving and the infamous Bay View. This is one of the top big wave spots in the world able to handle up to 30 foot waves and barrel all the way up to 15ft. It is also the home to the Boland Big Wave Shoot Out which is the reason we have stopped in this sleepy town. This is to be our home for the next two weeks as we wait on the swell to produce the size wave the contest needs to be run. Well as we wait for this swell we have found a few other treats that have made us quite happy if I have to say so myself. The water may be sharky and cold but once you see the waves it all seems worth it.

With 5 more days left in the waiting period the Road Warriors are in no rush to jet off to our next destination.

Stay tuned to see photos of the event and riding from the next few days.
