Yup, your in the right Hood. The ol Lazer 2 facotry was in that hood.

hahha the fringe.. you had to love the smoke pit. I think that was my first realisation that Heroin kills people ( the fringe burnt down after the owner and barmen passed out after a dragon chasing session and well a candle fell over the rest is now history. Both of them died -- Stay off the junk kids -- it kills in more ways that just an OD)

Craig.. you ever hit the playground? Bar Do me? Deviate? am digging the old school vibes, just need to rent a house on UCT's campus grounds and i will be Will Farreling it to the max.

hahhaha wicked.
Ok i will name the old school in this ad.
In colour uptop, he was the brightest star in SA bodyboarding, a talent at the time on par to Mike Steward ( i shit you not) His name was Jaques Van Heerden, originated from durban and later migrated to Cape Town where he dominated WP and later in Hawaii. Unfortunatly he passed away in a tragic mountain climbing accident in 1992. He was a top bloke, good friend and still fondly remebered.

On the rail below, from left to right... Brain Watson, Frans Olivier, James Wight, Robin Oliver and um.... cant remeber his name...doh. The board they are promoting there is Mike Van Hysteens custum board.. The MJ. Most of that crew were/still are Hoek locals. Jaques was the first guy i ever saw do a true invert (at 8-10ft outer kom going right.. SA's 1991)and pull off a double air roll (WP trail @ the hoek 1990). The oke was a legend.
