We called it Tombstones because of all the dry rock pinnacles that stick up out the water on the inside. the wave ends up breaking onto them and washing around like crazy. Then the wave reforms and closes out on another rock ledge... the kind of paddle out you wouldn't send your worst enemy on. But then again we have a boat and we like to use it...

Yeah, this is the mirage of perfection that lures suckers towards near death experiences... I think thats why its taken Pete so long to post these pictures of his traumatic past. ;)
