349907 Nov 2004Bodyboarding WA (bodyboardingwa.com)Perth, WAAustraliaCome on guys we need this! Shark Island CANNOT be the only event on the WST, Pipe is the one of the best waves out and for the bodyboarding community not to be able to have our fair share and to be able to showcase our sport at the the worlds premier surf location is a disgrace!

348507 Nov 2004alecBallinaAustraliaWhy deny eliete professionals their chance to cut sick in EPIC conditions?
348407 Nov 2004Haruwn WesleySan FranciscoUnited StatesTo deny bodyboarding world renown "Pipe Line" to continue as 'the premiere venue for bodyboarding World Championship', are reprehensible,
unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. Why would
anyone want to take the "Aloha out of the Aloha"?...
Many of my friends, shortboarders, longboarders, bodyboarders, bodysurfers, skimboarders, snorklers, skindivers, waders, world travelers and sunbathers all go to Hawaii every year to this special bodyboarding Championship event contributing immensely to the ecomomic viability of the Island. Are we missing something here?,... Who in their right mind would even dare consider denying substantial incoming revenue into the city's coffers especially during these times where every city, local, and states are all jockying for sustained economic stability. The chamber of commerce should seriously re-consider this debacle and do the right thing for the best interests of all the promotion of "Pipe Line Body Boarding World Champioships" especially for Hawaii as we know it, .
348307 Nov 2004James MillmanVictoriaAustraliapipe is on of the most well known and well foto graphed breaks in the world u would be ruining a tradition and breakin bodyboarding hearts everywhere. SAVE PIPE COMP

346907 Nov 2004scott alfieridanvilleUnited StatesTo the people in the local govt of oahu,
I don't know all the specifics but how could you reject the pipe contest for the bodyboarders but have one for surfing? I thought we all respected each individuals chosen wave riding method ? Hawaii is the birth place of Waveriding, and has pretty much the best waves on earth. We need to work to have the "Superbowl's" for all forms of waveriding in the Hawaiian islands, where they came from.
