3659 | 08 Nov 2004 | Reece Wartenberg | Cape Town | South Africa | Even though this may not be read:Since i was eight i have whatched people bodyboarding(always charging) pipe, not just any people, people who i have looked up to,people who i am inspired by.i am now 17 and yet to surf pipe(one day hopefully in the pipe masters),taking this away does not only take away the dreams of thousands of kids in South Africa, but millions throughout the world.just this one dream is the sort of dream that keeps kids out of crime and drugs, the sort of dream that South Africans have been for years...dreaming of.This descision does not only effect the people living near and surfing pipe, but like i have said, people who for many decades still intend to. |

3641 | 08 Nov 2004 | gavin watt | gold coast | Australia | if this decision is not reversed the state of hawaii will have massive regrets over the next 10+ years.due to the massive growth in the Bodyboarding industry. time will only tell but if hawaii has dicided that bodyboarding is not good enough for them then i would be more then happy to second a move for the final event to be relocated to another country.if that country was true to us,then i know that the bodyboarding industry will be true to that country spending approx 500bboarders multiplied by au$3000.00 thats 1.5milion over six weeks spent in that country or on that island. i'm sure tahiti or fiji or chilian governments would be keen to see those soughts of figures. maybe its time bodyboarding took another change for the future.however it turns out bodyboarders will not lose. we're to strong.
