The Peruvian Inka Challenge came to an end on Sunday with epic conditions and cemented its place on the IBA world tour.

The morning started with perfect 5 to 6 feet waves with tons of tubes and ramps. As the day passed the sun came out and crowd came to watch a show of the world best bodyboarders.

Pierre Louis Costes was on fire and in the semifinal defeated the current world champion Jeff Hubbard even having a 10 in his scores.

Monsieur Amaury Laverhne defeated the rookie of the year from South Africa Jared Houston in the other semifinal and made a historic final with his best friend Pierre Costes.

When the horn sounded the beginning of the final heat the beach stood in silence to see the best two bodyboarders of the Peruvian Inka Challenge 2010.

On his first wave, Pierre surprised everyone by throwing himself against a wall of water and pulling with perfection one of the biggest backflips ever completed on the tour. A perfect 10 was called for this wave making the crowd at the beach to stand up and clap for the young French men.

"I knew that against Amaury I had to push myself to the limit. When I pulled out that backflip I could never imagine that I would complete. Definitely my biggest move ever made." said the actual Peruvian Champion.

Amaury tried to show his counter attack with 2 inverts, scoring 7 and high 8 but, Pierre came back on his second wave and pulled a really nice invert which gave him more 7 points.

At this point, Amaury Laverhne couldn't do much but wait to the end of the heat and go party with his best friend and current Peruvian Inka Challenge Champion, Pierre Louis Costes.

The south American leg was pretty much favorable to Pierre. He won 2 out 3 events(Búzios and Peru) and can be considered the South American champion for the IBA world tour of the first semester.

The IBA World tour now takes a short break and comes back in July with 2 special events, the Fluidzone Shark Island Challenge and the Zicatela Pro (July 28th to August 6th).
