MOB Summer Classic
posted by Michael Meyer on 21st February 2004
The MOB held their 2nd contest for 2004 on 21 February. Conditions were very poor, with the waves barely reaching 1ft. As you can imagine, not many moves can be executed in such small waves except, rolls and spins: a groveller’s paradise.
Ryno van der Westhuizen surfed well and came 1st in the Development divisions, with a few nice rolls. Small wave wizard, Adam Morley, took out both the Dropknee and Pro divisions, with longer rides and a good strategy.
The contest went off well, despite the poor conditions. Our next contest should take place in April.
