Cape Classic Day 1 will run tomorrow

posted by Gareth White on 2nd April 2009

After much deliberation and careful consideration it has been decided that we will run Day 1 of the Sport Unlimited/Spur Cape Classic 09 at Caves, in Koel Baai, near Gordons Bay.

We have been informed by Caves locals that with the slight bit of extra South direction in tomorrows swell the wedges should be bigger and the level of bodyboarding will only benefit as a result.

The first heat in the water is Pro Round 1.

We would like to start the event at 8am so please try to ensure that you are at the beach by 7am.

We know that this is an early start but we want to make the most of the good swell.

For further info please contact either SABA Contest Director, Pat Harris on 082 863 6665 or WPBA Chairman, Deon Meyer on 082 575 8565

The Sport Unlimited/Spur Cape Classic 09 is brought to you by Sport Unlimited and Spur Steak Ranches in association with Ocean Minded and supported by The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Reef Wetsuits, Science Bodyboards, Arnette, Bondi Blu and Aloe Up.
