Onwards marching soldiers - McCarthy does the dash

posted by Nicholas Kruger on 31st March 2009

Ahoy there all my peeps in Internet land.

With some hard core brainstorming and smart thinking from Spex, Lisa, Rob and myself you could be unlucky enough to come up against McCarthy in the up and coming Cape Classic. Unlucky because the contest ends in that heat for you! Sorry mate better luck next year hey!!! Ha ha ha

What started off as a rather beautiful and relaxed Sunday would end in a mad scramble for Sydney airport, well it wasn't quite so dramatic but then again drama sells! So like I said MAD dash!

So why risk losing a flight that is not transferable!

Well I guess you can ask Mark that when he arrives/ if he arrives in Cape Town. I lost contact with him about an hour before his flight so have no idea if he's pulling a Wesly at the airport or he's somewhere over the Indian ocean sipping on champagne and chunking down caviar.

I do have a theory of my own to why he was willing to play the jester to some flight.
Well the second leg of the Australian tour found itself down at Soldiers beach and McCarthy battled his way through the mob to find himself in the final. The final, which only hit the water late afternoon Sunday! However Mark wasn't the only South African to find himself in final amongst a sea of Aussies!

Mr. Sacha Specker had been throwing his tail around and soon come up against Mr King in the DK final. Unfortunately Kings relentless lip smacking was no match to Spex's snap attack! Spex still coming a respectable 2nd over all.
McCarthy flipped his way through a dominant final with the only challenger being Jake Stone. Even Jake's two BIG flips weren't enough to take the heat.

After receiving his 1st place trophy and cheque a very happy McCarthy was now bolting for the door, where a bakkie was waiting to rush him to the airport.

P.S. For those of you whom need some help?

A Jester is like a clown. Normally found in the days of Castles, Kings and Queens.
Pulling a Wesley in regards to the airport! Well you are going to have to ask Mr Fisher about that. Please ask him! Too funny.
A Bakkie for all you non South Africans is a pick up truck or a Ute as they call it in Oz.
