Sihle Xaba stars in local TV drama

A note for everyone that's interested - bodyboarding is about to become a bit of a weekly feature, for a while at least, on national TV. SABC1 have been filming a mini series drama which features none other than Sihle Xaba as the lead actor. The show is called Bay of Plenty and kicks off this month on the 24th, and will air Wednesday nights at 8:30pm for the next 6 months. It's all about the beach, but lifeguarding and bodyboarding, not surfing for once, are going to feature prominently. So check it out, should be some interesting entertainment.

Bay of Plenty portrays, reflects and celebrates the emerging culture of South African youth in a unique universe that combines the cross-cultural mix of Durban's beachfront with the popularity of surfing and the glamour of the beach landscape. The series explores daily lives of people of this particular beach community in Durban - issues facing the Black lifeguards; surfers, fishermen and Zionists; holidaymakers; rickshaw men and holidaymakers.
