Factory 7 launches 0800 FSEVEN

FACTORY 7, South Africa's leading online surf store has introduced a 0800 free call number to broaden the horizons of their business.

Factory 7 is an online retailer for the board sports market – namely bodyboarding, surfing and skateboarding. The company is run by riders, for riders with current South African Bodyboarding Drop-Knee Champion, Derek Footit at the helm.

"Launched as South Africa's first genuine online board sports store, our aim is to establish our position as the market leader through the development of our brand and focusing on customer service excellence," said Footit.

Until now orders could only be placed via the internet, but with such a small percentage of South Africans having access to the internet it meant that their business had its limits. This new addition should enable them to reach a broader market. Factory 7 boasts a variety of products from many of the leading brands. Recently they have begun to market a wider selection of goods with skateboarding decks, trucks, wheels and bearings being added to their arsenal. Pretty much anything associated with board sports is available from Factory 7, where customers can find products ranging from bodyboards to skateboards, surf wax to curb wax, wetsuits to board shorts and an array of related DVD's, all at competitive prices.

"We want those without access to the internet to be able to take advantage of what we have to offer and this will give them the means to do so. People can call us with questions on products, needing advice on equipment and to place telephonic orders," commented Footit, on what he hopes the phone-line will bring to the business and customers alike.

Factory 7 have over the years become involved in the sports, directly contributing to their growth by sponsoring riders, funding events such as contests and projects such as locally produced films. In doing so, they have captured the support of riders glad to see a company actively putting back into the sports that enable them to be in business.

Orders costing R200 or more are delivered to South African customers at no extra charge, using the South African Postal Service.

"The Post Office takes between 3 and 5 days for delivery, but has in places arrived in 2 days. They supply us with a Tracking Number which we pass onto the customer to track their order and know its exact arrival and when they can collect. Using the Post Office we are also able to offer customers the option of paying for orders upon arrival using COD (Cash on Delivery) which has proved extremely popular. Other payment options include Credit Card and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)," commented Footit on the delivery of products purchased.

The phone number in question is 0800 FSEVEN (0800 373836), might I remind you that it won't cost you a cent to give Derek a call. So if you have anything to ask him, don't hesitate to call. Alternately take a look at what is on offer by visiting Factory 7 online at www.factory7.co.za or contact Derek by email at [email protected].

"Get in touch with us, see what we have to offer and if we don't have what you want, we will do our best to get it!" added Footit.
