SCBA Trial #3 2007

The 3rd trial of the 2007 Southern Cape trial series was scheduled to be run at Herolds Bay, but due to unfavourable conditions the trial was moved down the road to Kleinbrak. The waves were in the 2-3 ft range and slightly inconsistent, but still very contestable. The main standouts of the day was Adam Morley who dominated the Juniors as well as the Dropknee divisions. Dave Comacho surfed well to take the mens title and Matthew Botha had a consistent day to take the Pro division. Another standout was Ivan van der Merwe, who managed a 2nd place in the mens division. He took part in the development division at last years SA Champs, so a 2nd place in his first trial of the year is a remarkable achievement, as he managed to beat a field of more experienced riders.
