SA Team Set for ISA World Games

posted by Iain Campbell on 26th November 2014

With less than a week to go the SA Bodyboarding Team is ready for an exciting two weeks of competition in Iquique, Chile. The team have all been training hard on a strict eating and training program by team coach, Clinton Millard. He had this to say about the team," The South African Body boarding team is doing its last preparation for their trip to Chile next week. Since the announcement of the team after SA Champs all the riders have been hard at work preparing for the games. The riders have stuck to strict eating plans and regular gym training programs. They have not only worked on their physical fitness but mental preparation as well. Working with the riders over the last few months I have seen the determination they have to excel at the games. This year we boasts with one of our strongest teams ever traveling to the World Games, all the riders are experienced riders, and this is not their first participation at the World Games. We have the commitment and experience to make our mark in Chile."

All of the bookings have been made for the team with most of them traveling together and all staying in an apartment in Chile. The team is most certainly ready for whatever is to come their way in the competition and are set to achieve a high standard of riding in the ISA World Bodyboarding Championships 2014.

Pat Harris, Team Manager has said, "A week to go before the SA Team leaves for the 2014 ISA World Bodyboard Champs. We are all experienced, focus and determined to make South Africa proud. We as a team are ready to take on the rest of the world and aim to bring back the gold. Good luck to all the members of the team."

The Team will be departing on Wednesday next week and arrive in Chile on the Thursday morning.
