MOB Outerpool Challenge

posted by Michael Meyer on 18th April 2004

The MOB Outerpool Challenge was held on Sunday, 18 April 2004. The waves were about 3-5ft with a light onshore breeze.

The Development final was an excellent heat with all the developing riders doing big rolls and good combos. In the dropknee final there was a fight for 1st place between Adam Morley and Gerrit Hurter. Adam took the edge to make it 3 wins in a row for him in the DK division. The Pro final was great to watch. Adam surfed well as usual, but was pushed into 3rd by Emile Maree and Wesley Holm. Emile, who was underestimated by everyone, took the Pro division. He really surfed well doing some sick combo’s.

An expression session was held after the contest. There were some big moves done, everyone just went as big as they could. Adam came first with a huge flip, followed closely by Michael Meyer who also did a big flip.

The contest went smoothly again and everyone enjoyed it.
