The Intaba Project is a plan to elevate the profile of South African Bodyboarding, and raise the standard of the entire sport here. This is essentially a fund-raising endeavour, the proceeds of which will be used towards us hosting our first ever international bodyboarding contest. South Africa has the waves, and it has the riders, to be a major player on the international bodyboarding scene - what we lack is the financial backing to pull off the type of contest that will attract the world's best bodyboarders to our shores, and put us firmly on the map of international bodyboarding.
We are selling tickets for this fund raising drive for R50 each, and have the following prizes on offer, thanks to the generous contributions of our Project sponsors:

2x Custom ATD (altaylordesigns) bodyboards, value R1700 each

As you can see, some insane prizes on offer for a small investment that is for a good cause anyway.
Online ticket sales through www.factory7.co.za close on the 15th of March and paper ticket sales will close on the 18th to coincide with the final day of The Cape Classic 17th-18th March, Glen Beach, Cape Town - this is also where the draw and prize giving will take place.
There is no limit to the number of tickets you may buy - more tickets will increase your chances of winning, and you may win more than one prize.
So if you are in the Cape Town area or just feel like coming to visit... Pop by and show your support by joining in the festivities and buying a raffle ticket. Let’s try to put South African Bodyboarding where it belongs - on the World Stage!

| 1. Well done to Al for putting this together and thanks to all those companies that have contributed to this project. If you're in any doubt as to which companies you should be supporting then take a look at the list of sponsors of this project. 2. We NEED your help for this to happen. Obviously SABA will try get a big sponsor on board but it can happen without them if everyone contributes a little. An international event for SA would be huge - every other continent has an event except us so let's bring the World Tour to SA. 3. OK --- I just got myself a few tickets to show my support for INTABA and I challenge everyone who uses sixty40 to buy at least one ticket - I don't charge anything for sixty40 nor do I get any advertising in so the least that I ask is that everyone supports initiatives like this to help better our sport. To the guys in the UK or who are a bit flash with the cash - make that 2 or more tickets. PRIZES WILL BE SHIPPED INTERNATIONALLY. There are a heap of prizes which you stand to win but most of all you will know that you are supporting a good cause. Good luck! | |
