| haha i found this spot and only found out later it was already taken lol... also search for another killometer down the coast a found more spots hahaha. o wel.. i met the crew at the spot and ja went out with one of the main guyz but ja shat myself.. its a kak heavy wave and u shuldn't judge it by this pic.. compare to wat i saw for real its a aclass wave.. but that not wats worrying me... when u fall u will get held down for long and might get cuts.. ja not going to mention anything that will give the location away but trust me its a kak hard spot o find. peace | |

| This is currently the most publised wave in SA yes, its the cover of 6040 and the most commented photo on this site. its a damn good wave, but to make an arrogent claim like that tant is the best wave in SA is indicative of childish naivaty. Its all a matter of opinion. Now get over it. Please children. The west coast crew started this with threats of violence to anyone who disclosed its location, yet its the west coast crew who are constantly baiting the bodyboarding community with an endless supply of frame grabs and photos of Tant in all its glory. The in crowd are all escorted up there when in Cape Town they inturn go home and tell all their mates and so on and so on. Its all bullshit anyways. Tant is no more secret than Kalk Bay, you ous made sure of that. How many secret spots that are on par with tant or even better can be found in PE, EL, The kei, the South Coast, Mozambique. I want to see a pro contest like the shark island thing held at tant, with a big ass judging tower, movie set camping facilities and a live web cast to the whoe fudging world! How do you like them apples huh? We can do the DK contest either at ebay or heavan if its working. God gave us the ocean as a playground, share and share alike. | Ah this issue is so old...live and let live, i say. The hype surrounding this spot will die off eventually... It's too much of a mission to get there, requires skill in order to surf and is basically getting crowded out so okes who make the mission aren't getting waves. I bodyboard for the love of it, to have fun and find serenity whilst in the water...i'm not too keen on crowds, bad vibes or nasty rocks that might crack my skull open. So although i know where this spot is i'm not gonna mission to go surf it at this point in time...too crowded, too many apparent bad vibes and i'm having a patch of bad luck so i don't feel like adding a skull fracture to the list... Just chill okes, it's only a wave!!! Maybe if i win the Non Existant Lotto i'll buy the spot and close it!!!...lol...just kidding. | |

I care about how my friends are doing, how my gf is, what makes me happy. But I sure as shit don't care about whether or not "yo got some" at some insane break. I'll never surf this well, and I don't have the balls to surf anything bigger than 4 foot...does that now mean that I'm not a good person? Do I not deserve respect? Surfing is for most people a time to relax and get back in touch with who they are, because most of us lose our sole somewhere during the week at work! So the last thing I can care about is your insecurities about whether or not the world thinks you are the badassest bber in the water and therefore respects you by default. I just sometimes wonder if you "locals" ever get pissed off if someone in a foreign country tells you to get out of the water, or give you the evil eye simply because you're not from there??? I am guessing the lineup will get darn crowded soon (if it isnt already) I surfed a certain pointbreak nearby on friday... was also a super duper secret spot a few years back and now there were 25 okes on the take off at 10am on a school day (well kinda -- for those of us who work)in the morning. Owell such is life i guess.
