101626 Oct 2004Pablo Carneiro EliasRio de JaneiroBrazilI think that there´s no point in canceling this event once it only brings health and sport´s stimulus. I cant see the point... Why? Does anyone can answer me that? Why?!
101526 Oct 2004Pedro OliveiraFigueira da FozPortugalThe pipe contest is the most traditional and the most expected competition in the bodyboarding scene, its a shame for the mayor of honolulu dont give the permission to run the contest!!!

101226 Oct 2004Andrew FlanaganCape TownSouth Africa the phrase "the pipe contest" is what amny bodyboarders live for. It is the pinicle of our sport and the common goal and dream that many fellow bodyboarders strive for. By taking it away you will be taking away a lot more than just any old random contest, it will have huge negative effects on our sport as a whole. It is just simply ridiculous to allow the surfers 12 out of the 16 possible days. Do the right thing - keep the contest!

Now this may not be possible.

98826 Oct 2004Barran YapClearwater, FLUnited StatesWhy would you even consider not giving us the permit? To think of the years I grew up in Hawaii, and watched the Pipe contest, and see how much money the pro bodyboarders were throwing around, it's a shame not to have this contest. If there is no contest, I guarantee that the economy in Hawaii will have problems. Aloha, and have the damn contest.

97526 Oct 2004Brett HeckenbergParramattaAustraliaI am dissappointed to see that the bodyboarding contest has been tried to be stopped for the second year in a row now. Cant you see that there are so many people in this world who love it? The history of the pipe contest and what it means now to the sport are huge. let the comp go on, there might not be the money in it for you guys compared to surfing, but the sport is still growing and growing!

97026 Oct 2004Douglas CockwellDurbanSouth AfricaI had the oppertunity to make my dreams come true and compete against the best in the world at this event and make friends with bodyboarders from many palce of the world. It showed me the true spirit of "Aloha" and it would be a great loss to the state of Hawaii and the sport of bodyboarding to lose this event. Please show the world that the spirit of Aloha is alive and stong.
