South Coast Classic cancelled

posted by Iain Campbell on 4th June 2014

It is with great shame that the South Coast Classic for 2014 officially cancelled. The contest has been running for a number of years but due to the lack of financial sponsorship, the contest cannot be run.

Bradley Moys, chairman of the SKZNBA, had this to say," It is with great regret that we are unable to run the South Coast Classic this year. We were unable to get a headline sponsorship for the event although I had been working hard with Red Bull South Africa as well as Koko's. Red Bull SA and Koko's both came to the party but without the financial backing from a main headline sponsor, we cannot run the event."

This leaves it up to the last two events of the year in Plettenberg Bay and Port Alfred for the titles of the relevant divisions to be fought out. The dates for these contests are as follows:

  • Wedge Classic
    • Briefing - 6 July
    • Contest - 7 & 8 July
  • West Beach Warfare
    • Briefing - 10 July
    • Contest - 11 & 12 July
Hope to see you all there!
