The Annual Cape Classic Event hosted by Western Province is just around the corner and it looks like it's going to be a cracker! With a roaming venue and the Cape's ability to dish out waves no matter the wind direction and wave size, the event promises to produce some epic conditions for the competitor's heats. Covering venues from Koeel Bay to Yzerfontein the riders and supporters will be lucky enough to experience the natural beauty of the Western Cape in all its glory. From frigid barrels at The Hoek (Noordhoek), to paradise style settings at the famous warm water of Caves (Kogel Bay) beach. The event is held over three days which allows the contest to find the best waves ensuring body boarding is shown in its real form.
This fine event would not be possible without the help of the sponsors who are Maniac Bodyboards, Gunslinger Longboards, Acorn Laser Cutting Designs, Bassett Print, Joint Venture Pump Services (JVPS) and SANparks. With the help of these sponsors the Cape Classic will be a 5A SABA event. This means the stakes are higher, the boosts need to bigger and the barrels need to be deeper for the SABA competitors to win the points which at the end of the season will help them become SABA champions of their respective divisions.

Venues: Noordhoek, Kogel Bay, Derdesteen or Yzerfontein. The venue will be called on the Facebook event page and Twitter account depending on best conditions.
