hahhaha, well there you go. Thats brilliant. But it gave some good debate while it lasted. Like the snow in Plett or the frozen sea in durban, not everything you get via email is real.
Word Kelly.....hahhahahha

Date removed.

This photo has been doctored. Take a look at the suspected original and a clearly suspicious variation.

Obviously its been photoshoped but if you look at the date, it says 2019. Thats propably due to global warming.

Damn straight. if u look at the other version of this pic u can see a squashed ship on the top which was chopped of in this pic. and just for coincidence there is a ship in the background on the un photoshopped version just like the shopped version with the squashed ship.

hahhahha... let it be real...
no seriously i showed this to some of my surfer mates from durbs and they said exactly what stu said... the banks wont handle something like that, but then i showed them that other pic that on sixty40, same pier different angle, wave coming down and they started to um and ahh and went maybe its a dbl up, etc etc. So ya, everything just seems pretty inconclusive. My personal opinion, its a bit of both.

this wave has definately been photoshopped, who ever did it just selected the areas that he wanted to distort and used the warp tool to make it crazy. it usually lines up pretty well and its hard to see any joins

if you look vertically off the corner of the peir and diagonally upwards (where the right of the wave kinda dips in) don't you think you can see some photoshopping skills there? Anyways, there is no way a wave that size would break so close to the peir like that - our banks just wouldn't allow it. . . awesom pic tho. . .

Hmm, ok since all the main skiet photogs seem to skiem its not photoshopped then perhaps its not. But then the closest explanation is water on the lens, in which case its still not an accurate shot of the conditions anyway...

ok.. at first i thought it was a photoshop job too, as i said it was emailed to me. I looked at it for a long time before putting it up here, one.. its not my shot and i dont like putting other peoples work on the net, 2 i wasnt 100% sure if it was real or not.
I even tried to make one of my own using the liquifiy filter in photoshop and well results wernt the same. Kinda what peter B said....
so ya
i just thought it was relevent.
Ahoy

Haha! Oh yeah of little faith! Not chopped. Check the other pics (wavescape) and you'll see hectic off shore spray - that combined with slow shutter speed (it's seriously cloudy) and you have all the makings for the fuzzy right hand side. Still, you wouldn't catch me near such a beast!

Not Photoshopped, imho - none of the obvious signs are there, e.g. repeated details, blurred transitions, objects stretched till they make a band of tone... but it does look like some minor lens distortion on the right (cheap-ass camera or moisture, maybe?)

hahhahha, i got it in an email... if it is photoshoped -- it wasnt me :)

I'm sorry, is it just me or does this pic look a little bit "Photoshopped"??? The left of the pic looks all good but then the right hand side looks all stretched and weird?I dunno, maybe it's just me?
