Forget Hawai standards, lets talk SA. This wave is a solid 6-7 ft face height!!!!
Enough said!!!!!

looks like 4-5ft to me...
not every wave is the same size the whole day hence we say 4-5ft. eg: for a comp write up.

nottafuck...this 4-5 ft bullshit has got to stop!!!

You can't have double standards like this, beacue every time I read a competition report on this site I see "the waves were a very contestable 3-4ft or 4-5ft" and then the photos don't look a fuck like this!!! But I guess you want the comps to seem more gnarly hey?

Well this wave is feckin big by my standards. A stand-up could easily stand up in that barrel...so just on that I'd say 5-6ft easily. And it's got nothing to do with balls...

You guys are more obsessed with balls than a gay flamingo dancer at Bronx.

Ja Ja, I just lag hard when the lighties manage to find so many feet on a wave...
I skiem Kruger backs my comment by pointing out that Hawaiians have the biggest nuts followed by the Aussies, and obviously Wade Harrison wears 3 pairs of jocks to stop his goens from dragging on the ground...

...and then what about when people say "solid" 4-5, meaning your fins get ripped off, or just 4-5, meaning "I wish" - in which case, this one is pretty damned solid!

JMO love the comment! But I must say I've done some traveling in my life and in just about every country you go to they read waves diffrentaly. So for some this would be maybe 10-15 foot ( That's only England that would think that by the way. They measure in real foot, not surfer foot). Hawaii would luagh upon this, Australia would consider it small to fun, Bali would'nt even know what it is cause it's breaking right and not left. And as you can see South African's are all the the same round about ball park figure except that one dude who said something like 8 foot..... keep dreaming son. At the end of the day it doesnt matter... as long as you had fun, every one else can say what they like. Remember jealousy makes you nasty. Keep ripping !

As you see folks, the perceived wave size is inversely proportional to the viewers ball size...
