Really Sean?? I broke my neck(C2, stage 3 "Hangman's Fracture") and was in a coma etc. last May, after car accident--was stabilized with a neck brace in bed for weeks. Most people have a "Halo" stabilization skrewed into their head in 4 places, but I'm glad I didn't have that; Although it was the worst fracture seen by Drs.. Still in recovery process having a trachiostomy yet and had 7th surgery this last Monday. I'm a fighter to move on! :) This guy was able to walk afterwards?--breaking his neck and back? Whee, he is VERY fortunate! Maybe he just broke off the "transverse processes" on the spinal column/back? How is he doing now? Would love to talk to this o! :)

Spoke to Spex, the Guy lives here, he broke both his neck and his back plus staples in his head. Lucky to be alive and just happy we managed to get him out the water in time!

This is a surfer that smashed his head on the reef between backdoor and OTW, he was in serious trouble and would probably have drowned if the crew didn't get to him. Biggest gash I've ever seen up close, the dent was to his skull, but Spex spoke to him on the bike path and he's alright.
