Jared Houston wins against Daniel Worsley as the two South Africans unfortunately end up in the same heat.
We spoke to Jerry after his heat:
"Round 5 is the start of the man-on-man heats and as it goes Daniel and myself were squared up against each other. We were both pretty unsure of how priority worked and Dan ended up catching a wave that was my priority therefore scoring 0 (or something like that), so I ended up winning with a 7 and a 4 something. Had Dan's wave been scored the outcome might of been different.
Very tough heat.
I'm in the 1/4's tommorow, but its man on man, so I'm in the top 8. I come against Sam Bennet! Going to need support, I'm confident I can beat him though." | 17/04/2010
